Ted Kovacs, a Partner in the Firm, regularly advises private and public sector clients in matters of employment and labour law, both in unionized and non-unionized workplaces. Ted's practice includes Ontario Labour Relations Board matters (with a particular emphasis on union organizing issues), collective agreement negotiations, human rights, public and private sector arbitrations, employment standards and wrongful dismissal litigation. He provides strategic advice and assistance in the start-up of new operations, and restructuring of current operations. Ted graduated from Queen's University with his B.Comm. (Hons.) and his LL.B. He has worked out of both the Firm's Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo offices, and sits on the Hicks Morley Executive Management Committee. He has been located in the Kitchener-Waterloo office since 1996. Ted is a member of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce and has sat on its Board of Directors and on its Advocacy Committee. He speaks regularly to managers in conference, seminar, and training settings, and is recognized by Best Lawyers as a leading Canadian Labour and Employment Lawyer.
